One Day Soon
next time I’ll grab the reins
of those exhausting relationships
I’m fed up and simply can’t
sit through another
one-way conversation
I just can’t do it anymore
next time I’ll ask
because I really need to know
don’t you ever tire of speaking about yourself
you carry on and on
spewing out your every thought
you sound convinced that
I am your number one fan
~ news flash ~
you are not that interesting !!!
take a breath
come up for air
for a change
ask me how I’m doing
and try actually waiting
for an answer
