One Day Hoonkie Came To King Salz's Hall

One day, Hoonkie came to King Salz's hall, Demanded a penny, but the king's voice did fall, He seized the poor Hoonkie, threw him in the gaol, In a cell dark and dreary, where shadows did sprawl. But a furry tabby cat, with plenty of cunning and flair, Helped Hoonkie break free from that grim, dire lair, They escaped from the gaol, their spirits were so light, In the cover of the night, they vanished from the sight! The king's heart grew heavy, his spirit did sway, Eyes wilted, he departed, his reign slipped away.
