One Day
A bright, hot, sunny day.
Under the sun a bee flies.
It buzzes from picnic to flower.
The flower it lands on is picked.
Picked by a charming, sweet lad.
This young gentleman gives the flower,
to a pretty, young lady, who smiles.
The young lady places it in a vase.
She puts the vase on a shelf.
A shelf out the way of a child.
A curious child, who stares at the vase,
before going out with friends to play.
They all go out to play football.
The football lands in patch of flowers.
One flower is trodden into the ground.
A flower that was visited earlier on,
by a different busy, buzzing bee.
A buzzing bee that once flew,
under the bright, hot, sun.
