Once Upon a Time Two Gumdrops Dissolve

Once upon a time two gumdrops dissolve once upon a time there were two gumdrops she was purple, he was yellow they were complete opposites they both worked at a hotel on a white sandy beach with palm trees swaying on the grounds as you enter the hotel the purple gum drop is a singing a song, pirouetting along behind the front desk, smiling, assisting guests she even looks sweet "Oh my purple gumdrop yum, yum." off to the side the yellow gumdrop, holding fort a nightwatchman, in more ways than one, he even looks mean and sour "Oh my yellow gumdrop yuk, yuk." the story of gumdrops begins to grow the purple gumdrop gave hugs to everyone, everyone much to the scorn of the yellow gumdrop he seemed to be uptight and jealous for everybody got a loving hug, not him arriving guest received her hugs departing guest received her hugs "Sir hold on." She would chime."Let me give you a hug." "Oh please." He muttered under his breath. "Lord have mercy." A guest walking their dog. "Sir hold on." She would chime."Let me give you both a hug." "Oh please." He muttered under his breath. "Lord have mercy, twice." It went on and on The newspaper lady, her friends, same story "Hey you." She would chime."Let me give you a hug." "Oh please." He muttered under his breath. "Lord have mercy." One day he witnessed this "Ma'am can I get a paperclip." "Sure, hon, but first I must give you a hug." "Oh please help me, Lord." It went on and on to his dismay on and on, and the irony, he liked his purple gumdrop on and on the hugs went ... it continued moseying right in front of his nose Big plumes of smoke billowed from his ears The stew in him began to overcook The brew in him began to bubble over She was in Heaven on angel's wave treating everyone with kindness the harp strings in her heart restless playing her songs of goodness to others, he watched from the corners of his eyes, bemoaning her everyday... one day to her dismay, he clashed words came out unexpectedly, snowballing to hell "Where's my hug, my hug." He hissed and laughed, eyes demean. "Oh wait, I want a big upgrade." She paused, wanting to slap him but thought wiser and walked away, tears in her eyes She never looked back The morale of the story Jealousy is the root of all evil. t'was the gumdrops have parted disgrace yum, yum and yuk, yuk have different taste connie pachecho 1/26/17
