Notes About The Poem

Five Components of Listening Process Stock Photo - Alamy

Once More

You say you’ve heard it many times before
But maybe you need to hear it once more

It sure hasn’t changed to the way that you live
There’s not been a change in how much you give

Have you ever tried to live life for real
Instead of just living from thrill to thrill

If you listen closely to what is said
It will change the thoughts running through your head.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed. By the way, how are you?

' to live life for real. ' So difficult for many, but, it's better to live that way. Treating moments like a game saying, ' I'm a winner no matter what, ' is never a good idea. Wise words here, my dear sweet friend. Hugs, Brandy

Bill, most of the time we are trying to come up with a good reply to outdo the one we are hearing. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Great reminder that we should really listen. It has good flow, rhyming, and rhythm. Sara K

Listening has got to be the most neglected language skill ever.

I enjoy the way you write Bill, to the point and with passion. This poem is no exception. HOWEVER i do give as much as I can give, and I do get a thrill from that. I'm not afraid to meet, and if need be challenge anyone on something that is wrong, so I agree with what is right and therefore with what you write. Hugs Jennifer.

I enjoy the wisdom in your poem. Listening to one's own mind can be enlightening; doing so and acting can change one's reality. Well done, hubby Bill. Good to see you penning and sharing your wisdom <3
