Once

Once I was young and did not know. Now I am much older with tales untold. Once I was convinced about the beauty of life and love. Only to find it had all flown away like a white dove. Once only comes one time. I truly feel that is a huge crime. In life we need a second or even a third time to do and learn. So we do not get a bad burn. Date Written: 8/20/2020 Title: 1. "once I was young and did not know" -this is so perfect! What a terrific beginning, and it would also be terrific in the middle at the end or as a poem all by itself. It says so much!
