This must be an insufferable pain Maureen. Can you hear anything above the ringing??? My audio ailments are all inside my head. Thank god my elevator head music just doesn't play muzak favorites such as "Girl From Ipanema", but if I'm lucky I can go through an entire day of complete symphonies or songs, while the other self voices are discussing basically everything. Constant ringing in my ears would really be a big problem. Hang in there Maureen.

Very interesting you brought up the "phantom limb" Maureen. So is your phantom crickets of the past; or white noise when televisions used to shut off at midnight???

I'm sure I don't have it as bad as others. Mine has worsened with last head trauma. Is is real noise and it is my head. Hoping neuroplasticity can help with that too, rewiring faulty connections. It's akin to phantom limb. Mines between static and crickets. ;p
