On Second Thought
ON SECOND THOUGHT
On second thought, I've changed my mind,
We do nothing for ourselves but waste time.
Day after day, week after week, we learn nothing,
Honestly, don't you think we should be doing something?
Our minds being at an idol, the Devils playground they say,
With no effort at all, Satin will have us all in his evil ways.
Pretending whatever we do, or whatever we say is alright,
Convincing yourself all is well because you pray every night.
On second thought, I think I am going to make a change,
I no longer want to feel like this, don't want to be the same.
I've been told and have witnessed the Miracles with my own eyes,
There's a guide to life that's been around for a very long time.
Truth, honesty, and Love is how it will teach us to be,
All the Joy and Happiness, we will be forever free.
Yes, on second thought I don't believe I am going to stay,
Why would I want to be spending my life wasting away?
There is something so good for us if only we would believe,
The words we read and the path we walk is how we will receive.
A promise of love and life in his Kingdom for all eternity,
Forever together in Harmony is what God plans for you and me.
