On Open Field

On Open Field Giant oak consumes the landscape girth Tears come down, gain momentum, form as rain Sun beams and wind twist it into bands that land Strike each leaf and branch with spring like action Between each drop of water and speck of light There is a story to be told Grass abounds out there about the tree Expands for miles to horizons deep in green Drinks in the sun beams, wind and rain Nourished and serine Sings underneath the giant tree On open field
