My only son once asked me why
  A fine mist, today, enveloped my eye
As I began his query to answer
  Caught in my throat, a battle cry

Your poem assures me that there are others who might still tear up when watching the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier in Washington. Bravo! Excellent writing and message.
