On Fallen Knees
~
In desperation I cry
on fallen knees
to heaven’s faded glow,
pleading with wintered
clouds, ice crystals forming,
that they part, allowing
celestial bodies to appear
as she gazes above,
for it is the full moon
this night which will
recite the poetry
written from my heart…
