Drifting through the skies,
Alone, she always flies
Where no one else can go
Across the mountains,
Where the winds blow…
On soft, downy wings
She soars, inspired by the sun
The glowing ebb up in the blue
Where laughing stars once did shine
Promising the night that there would be
The wonder of moon to glow through
The trees – both oak and pine,
Embracing the heart with its smile
Plumy desires fall from the heights
Where she flies, rising above the ridges
Elevated so she sees everything below,
The miracle of the clouds passing by,
The hesitation of the prayers spoken,
Whispered by lips who yearn to see…
Forever kissing away all the darkness,
The doubts, the melancholic weakness’
On feathery feelings, she rises and falls…
Testing her wings, testing her heart
She needs only the caress of the gentle air
To breathe in and breathe out – wishes,
Sighing through the spirit, ministering
Blessing every dream with a promise that this
Mystery, this kindness will erase every
Blindness as she climbs, ever aware of the
Light, the love, the life – as she sails…
Flying through the blue skies, she ascends…
She abides in the spiraling awakening
Sun, moon and stars… all share in her dreams
Believe in her gifts, her beauty – her
Healing, the gentling moments when she
Bleeds both compassion and brilliance…
She fades from sight on the heights
Gliding past forever – into the heavens,
Where God Himself can bless her
With mounting joy, increasing smiles….
All the wonder that accompanies her flight
This eagle mother is forever so dazzling,
Wings wheeling, hovering, coasting
As she skates across the skies, a winged shuttle
Into the newest heights, into paradise
She only stops by her nest a few times
Checking on the babies who make her life
Feel like a blessing – as she protects and protests
Anything that approaches the chicks who
Await that golden beak, filled with insects and bugs!
Alone, she flies… silencing the darkness,
Preparing the night for her insight into life,
She is alone, but she flies… inspired by the skies
Stirred to life by the gentleness of wind blowing,
Caressing the downy softness of her intuition,
The knowing that just past this cloud,
Over the timeless urge of the moon and stars,
Into the kingdom of hope and grace…
There abides a faith that makes forever her chance
To say – Freedom comes with her wing's praise!
Fairytale for children
