Old Memories

C-oming back home in our autumn years
O-nce more looking for those familiar ties
M-emories carried through our lows and highs
I-n remembered joys and tears
N-othing smells as familiar as those bars
G-oing back to touch the fading stars

B-ack to every known place we had been
A-lways in our hearts till we’ve seen
C-atching sparks still strong in our eyes
K-eeping feelings tucked inside

H-appiness layered in cobweb’s of old
O-ld stories we seek that have been told
M-elodies in our hearts till the very end
E-nough said nothing is lost my friend.
