Old Glory

Let’s take a moment and think about our flag. Let’s think about what it actually stands for and why we shouldn’t let it drag. It’s a symbol of freedom and a symbol of truth. It’s also a symbol of how our brave, have fought and died for our youth. The flag is not a symbol of oppression or a racist group. It’s not something we should set on fire, stomp on or keep off of our stoop. It represents the United States, a country in which we live. It represents our rights as Americans and the many sacrifices so many do give. The flag is soaked with our blood by the death of many of our kin. It needs to remind us of who we are and where we have been. It’s a symbol of our past, present and future. It separates us from the rest, with every stitch and suture. We are the last stand for many, a beacon of hope. The Flag represents our hard work and how we’ve always learned to cope. The Flag represents our independence, our love and pride deep inside. The Flag is a symbol of unity and was never meant to divide.
