Actor Fess Parker played both Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone. Perhaps that's the reason why so many people have gotten them mixed up in the past. Your clerihew describes the legendary frontiersman quite well in only four lines. Good work Curtis.

did you also know..Davy is my favorite hero... I don't know why I am so intrigued by him..lol.. He's not even a TEXAN... but, yes he did get killed here at the ALAMO in San Antonio Texas... love this one,... my faorite line in the movie *THE ALAMO* "DAVY THEY KILLED ME!" aweee :-'( ~.p.d.

I watched Davy Crockett when I was a kid. It starred Fess Parker and Buddy Ebsen. I'll never forget it. FYI, I spent some time in San Antonio during and after my Air Force career. I visited the Alamo and recall it as a favorite place to see.
