Oh Word Where Are You
Oh word where are you? I need you to complete
This poem that I wrote, I can not miss a beat
You word, yes you, who else did you think
I need you here now word to make my poetry click
I think for right now I want just one cue
Yes I think, oh I think, it has to be you
I’ve waited too long now, just give me a break
And come to me darling, don’t wait one more wink
How can I convince you of your importance to me
The things we can accomplish, oh how wonderful it will be
Oh word don’t you know you’re the best one around
I need you, yes you dear, please let you be found
You know poetess I am reluctant
For I must not sound redundant
Or seen as petty in any way or size
I must be presented as a magnificent prize
For my worth is beyond what most can imagine
I wish to invoke feelings of love and great passion
This time word you may be hooked up in a song
Now how, just how, could that ever be wrong
You definitely don’t belong in a silly little note
You deserve to be set up in a beautiful poem
Word put on your smile and come walk with me a mile
And then we will find you the most amazing word pile
I promise you will sound important
Your worth will truly show by morning
Our readers will always understand
That you are meant to be shown as grand
For I will dress you up in lovely lace
And settle you in the perfect place
It will be the most glorious space
One you will never want replaced
Oh word where are you, give me your word, word
I sincerely need you, you have my word, word
