Oh Moon
Oh moon!~
here I am again,
though I know you
not the source of light –
yet, somewhat, nearer myself
you tend to open more in the night,
shine less reluctant
when the world seems further
away
from
public
less exposing
perhaps, less severely
judging
your light compassionately
muted, for sore hearts to freely
pour-out
not feeling so harshly evaluated
every beat counted, every pulse
needing guarding
yours a seeming more sympathetic
illumination~ than that dear, declarative
inner-voice,
my echoing wisdom of glaring
remorse~ my long slate of failed dawns
immemorial –
