Oh Gandhiji Come Back, World Needs You

Parents beating their children with scale, belt, iron rod Burning their hands, pricking them with needles Leaving them in dark room alone I hear them cry in agony Distressed, sad mind says Oh Gandhiji come back, world needs you Cases of murder, rape, violence, terrorism on increase Wars killing many Parents telling kids if someone beats, you beat back Not thinking of the long term consequences Distressed, sad mind says Oh Gandhiji come back, world needs you Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you said Christ Ancient Indian scriptures, our law of karma states the same So does many religious scriptures We get back what we give,. this we see every day Give respect, you get respect, give help, you get help Shout, other person shouts back, You beat someone, he will surely beat back Violence perpetuates violence Our sin increases, we suffer We have forgotten our age old fundamental values Distressed, sad mind says Oh Gandhiji come back, world needs you However bad the world may be, we have to be good We should not sin, for we are accounted for our acts We get back what we give many times multiplied Why give violence and increase your own miseries Why not give love, kindness and serve other's World needs to revise long forgotten ancient truths stated in scriptures Oh Gandhiji come back, world needs you Gandhiji knew scriptures very well practiced what they preached All are parts of God, beads of same string God resides in heart of all We should think like that and live Then we will automatically become good like Gandhi World needs a selfless, all loving leader to guide Ll Oh Gandhiji come back, world needs you
