Matthew Anish Poet Blank verse

Off To Mars

Like a scene from "Star Trek"
   our ships head off to Mars
           We are moving 
     rapidly towards our goal
The mission may not succeed
    However - we remain optimistic
Our ships move on the 
        wavelengths 
   set by the solar clock 
Are you ready to begin 
   the journey?
  Our eyes know when 
       they should be opened 
If you wish you can 
make it through the 
   day 
       Without 
fear of dangerous asteroids
    or equally dangerous 
       solar winds
which blow eternally
in the dark, black 
     VOID
