Of Hope Arisen
Submerged
into the murky waters
of iniquity
O my dirty soul
how muddy these waters be
Slowly ... descending ...
into the miry quicksand
At the last glimpse of light,
my eyes are wet bricked in
O Lord, I cry,
but my voice is stifled
This desperate plea is clogged,
as my body falls deeper into the bog
Jesus Christ, please help me!
My Savior, I die ...
a fallen spirit, sinking,
in sore need of thee
And in the last darkening breath,
hope did arise —
God sent the Angel of His presence,
uplifting me onto solid ground
These thankful eyes
has confessed their blindness
And now cherish the sight
of the bright, morning SonLight
