Of Haughtiness
Haughtiness* is a formidable tower
ascending toward self-exalted fame
anchored by steel of personal gain
rising through conceit’s brace
projecting gracious meekness
while standing tenaciously
upon sinking ground
of futile superiority
predicament.
*Isaiah 2:11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
