Of Haughtiness

Haughtiness* is a formidable tower ascending toward self-exalted fame anchored by steel of personal gain rising through conceit’s brace projecting gracious meekness while standing tenaciously upon sinking ground of futile superiority predicament. *Isaiah 2:11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. Beata, congrats on your placement in my contest. I especially like the line "projecting gracious meekness". I feel like this is how haughtiness can sneak up inside you and breaks through the thin gracious mask. Well done.
