Of Dorothy’s Three Friends in Oz
Of the three friends that Dorothy met,
it was Scarecrow who had his heart set
on getting a brain,
but that was insane.
I know folks with no brains as of yet!
It was Tin Man the young girl met next,
and he thought with no heart he’d been hexed.
But he seemed nice to me.
In the real world I see
heartless people who make me so vexed!
Her lion friend thought he was cursed
with no courage, wanting reversed
his scaredy cat ways.
But some folks these days
compared with that cat are the worst.
