Ode To 'Yelp' Duplicity

'Yelp's' a lark, (truth indeed?), maybe servant of greed? You want 'natural' ratings? Please your advice heed! Now your model for earning seems blackmail at best, You pollute client's site with competitor's ad, Which you'll clear if we pay (proof intentions are bad), Even Satan can see that Yelp fails 'morals test.' Many think it'd be nice if Yelp charged a fixed price (For your model for business strikes me like a "joke!"), Makes me wonder if someone is not smoking "coke!" Your assumption the customer's wallet's on ice! "Good grief guys! How to demonstrate our site is real?" "Let's pretend algorithm is proof of square deal!" (1) I have problem with that; few folks sit where I've sat, No computer is better than logic's format. Perfect code can't exist for man writes it, just us, Maybe God knows intent of reviewers at large But it's clear that Yelp can't, though they might overcharge, And to obfuscate things throw truth under the bus. When Yelp stands on 'Fake News,' "CODE BLOCKS TAINTED REVIEWS," That's duplicitous (flawed humans write all their code,) (You can sing this you know for my poem's an Ode.) Can't deny that some cheat (but that's largely a snooze,) Wise phrase 'caveat emptor' means "Buyer beware!" Could it be, Yelp just wants to push us down a stair? Long Tooth October 1, 2017 Poet's Notes: (1) "Fake Science" is no better than "Fake News!" If I am right, Yelp should be held accountable for deceiving the public, for their claims of effective computer monitoring seem self-aggrandizement and exaggeration. The protection from fake reviews they say they offer consumers fraudulent for the same reasons! NO HUMAN can do what they claim that their algorithm does either! Also, there are far too many reviews to handle even if human censors might divine review hype on occasion! The volume of reviews is certainly a good reason for Yelp wanting to have a computer that can do it, however! I suggest their algorithm is "Hockey Puck!"
