Ode To a Day Long Forgotten
Grasses on the hilltop bend
though never break
Willows by the river, they may sway
and even shake
Tears from my heart flowed
freely from my eyes
the day they shot Bobby Kennedy
the day our best hope died
______________________________
If you have never watched/listened
to Bobby Kennedy talking to thou-
sands of African Americans in Gary,
Indiana on a campaign whistle-stop,
reasoning with them to stay calm the
day MLK was shot, google it, watch it --
you'll see what I mean, I think.
