October Sun

The field was golden, mirroring October sun above. My heart was warmed to look at it and overflowed with love. I wished for sun to long abide beyond the edge of fall, to shine on brightly like the love God shines upon us all. Though that next morning I awoke to see an early snow, there stays engraved in my mind’s eye October’s ever-glow. Oct. 28, 2019 for Line Gauthier's October Sun Poetry Contest

Another beauty from your very talented and prolific quill, Andrea - and a sure top winner in the contest. Many thanks for commenting on the tree leaves write. I recall as a kid we had to memorize that poem in school. Tho' it doesn't "flow" all that well it sure says a lot. Best to you as you continue your illustrious poetical journey - Bob
