October Shock

       green grass
       shocks
       yellow roses
       shock
       calendars withered
       bag linings
       fret
       autumn ...
       leaves
       naked harvest

Decisions,decisions..... Sunbathing or buliding a snowman ? Swimming or skating ? Planting flowers or shoveling that cold white stuff ? Leaf peeping, or lawn mowing ? I'll never be able to decide :) :(

The sudden demolition of foliage and flower is on in the northern hemisphere! For me at the opposite end, the shock is more the approach of the embers (as in September.to December... and year's end speeding up the calendar pages). I like the 'withered calendars' - most of the pages are now at the top pinned back with a paper clip.

Interesting comment, Jeanette. I hadn't thought of those 'clipped-back' calendar pages. (Mine are too.) I was comparing the withering of the calendar pages to the withering of the leaves in October... Thanks so much for opening my eyes a bit there. ~ Gershon
