October Joys
October comes, nostalgic thoughts in tow,
with new delights to form fresh memories
of breezy, peaceful sights and sounds that please.
Much more than I deserve, the blessings flow.
October brought my one sweet child to me.
a daughter, source of unique pride and joy.
She’s mom now of a precious girl and boy.
With family, I’m blessed as I can be.
From ground to treetops, colorful arrays
amaze me, make me loath to go inside!
The yards in town become a source of pride.
Bright pumpkins, mums, and hay make grand displays.
Fall moves my meditative side to write.
I use my pen to celebrate this life,
to thank the Lord there’s much more joy than strife.
October is a time of great delight.
