October stirs up colors- its new blend
designing duller scenery to glow.
The cooler temps invite us to befriend-
in full excitement for its destined show.
Progressing soon, redressing of our greens-
which summertime no longer will prolong,
October's brush will conjure lovely scenes
to mend the loss of summer's soothing song.
The fruit groves, filled with cyclic ripened gifts,
now beckon us to pick them to consume.
The odor of sweet, luscious pies, uplifts;
reforms the missing scents of summer's bloom.
When this October ends, we'll miss its joy-
for then we must resolve November's ploy.
