Reminds me of the simple life in the country, on my Uncle Bo's farm, Jerry. After a long day in the cotton fields, a cold iced tea and sitting in the porch swing was as good as it gets. Like your poem, it may be a glimpse of heaven here on earth. Have a good day, my friend. Bill

It's my retirement reality now. Hummingbirds, bull frogs, and sunsets. That's Heaven in my book.

There’s nothing like relaxing on a back porch swing. When I lived in Colorado, I spent many hours on mine, enjoying the snow capped Mountain View. I also enjoyed your write, Jerry.

Thank you, Lin. I lived in Montana for 16 years and I get it. But I still prefer a Midwest Autumn. Have a wonderful day my friend.

I love a quiet rest in the rocker after a hard day's work. Better yet... let's forget about the hard day's work and go straight to the rocking chair.
