The ocean is beautiful..but everything that has beauty has a scar. Maybe. "N ature’s great treasure casket!." I love the metaphor and that explains it.

The ocean is a treasure. Not only it provide us with food, but also with the delight, of riding on sailing boats. Blessings.

I like this picturesque tanka. I have seen the ocean this way with washed up shells and kelp.

Good work reminding us of the importance of the coral reefs remaining alive and healthy. If they die, it will mess up the whole ecosystem of the oceans of the world. Thanks for sharing this one with us and for dropping by my page. Sara k

Dear sweet valsa, thats a beautiful picture to go with your exquisite tanka. How stunning is the way youv described the ocean: i love the ocean and im the happiest when i just swim away, into the blues, especially snorkeling. I love the line “ ocean stretches wide. coral reefs form a garden.“ how beautiful. Theres so much to appreciate under the sea. “ nature’s great treasure casket!” The word casket used there is clever wnd created a juxtaposition to the first lines and is really impressive! BOL in the contest! Fave it is
