Ocean

There are predators in the sea that may give you quite a scare Even in the shallows they can be As you are splashing there The ocean waves invite you in and soothe with its warm caress But if you see a dorsal fin It will cause you much distress In its realm you may become its prey And they pack a very painful bite With razor sharp teeth on display "Jaws" is sure to leave you in fright 3-24-2023 Writing Challenge - 'O' Words Poetry Contest Sponsor: Constance La France

Watching as waves crash against the shore, is very poetic. I've always loved the feel of the ocean, but not so much anymore. It *is* scary out there. Using "Jaws" as a reference, is very smart Joseph. Good luck in the contest. Hugs, Brandy

Oh I know just that kind of feeling. Growing up in the Pacific Ocean, on the small islands, our beaches when high tide, some do come in close to shore. But i think because we respect them and leave them alone, they don’t bother us.. Great write, Joseph, I like this a lot. :)

I can't see a fin without thinking of that classic Jaws theme 'da -DUH - da -DUH' - I still don't go on past ankle depth~
