Hello Dave. Nice seeing your poetry again. Been a while since I've been on.Along a street what's seen it's last /// Pavin when Toots Mazzini was gassed. heh heh I like it Looks like the only thing alive and maintained in that neighborhood was that coke ad. Then again... maybe it was a cocaine dealer advertizin' his wares. : )

Not Halloween happening here, but I suppose just as creepy. Not fun when most of the people need to move out and away from these towns. One could still buy a coke and drink it on the curb, while watching "the trucks bump passed". Very clever write, Daver! Feels redneck-ish. Keep well and stay happy! Love, Mikki

Dear Daver, there are sooo many buildings like this in New Jersey towns and in Florida cities as well. I always imagine what they were like when they bustled with activity. Some of those old Coca Cola signs are collectors items now. Maybe someone will be collecting us soon, but I think I passed my "shelf-life." Don't let Daver fool you folks. He does not live in a Torino. He shares a home with some very spoiled kitties. Love the poem and the poet, Carolyn

Yes, most towns have those old buildings at least one..Sad when what was once doing a great business no longer is in operation..So many communities, small towns have just about closed down..Sara
