Oblivion

There’s a traitor bred deep inside me
Circling sublime and deceiving my mind
Beating this heart as a clenched fist keeping time
A repetition I have fought, like tradition
an unwinding defines inception

Seditions equal 1000 miles of disgrace
Dare I tell you of my place
A death walks in every shadow
Attached to the Silhouette like a black cat
Iniquities playground complete with a shrouded habit

Priviledged phantom betrayer is mine
She emerges and begs for fires within
And enormous qualities of compassion
Dancing for keeps with oppression
no turning back for the high cost of reflection

There is no place to hide decision
No unharmed order for reason
No intellect in the drug chosen
Desire is convicted, confined and blind
the first time you cheat life of pains design

The feel of cold steel under my skin
Cracks the hollow’s door completely open
Step into and follow Oblivion’s seduction
Her abyss has no reminisce
Only Deprivation holding my ambitions hopeless

A single drop of blood escapes
Accepting my breath as a promise of bliss
Deceiver, my coward has taken a final kiss
Exposed with only one thing left to see
the dark parts inside of me

Addiction, a compulsion something you do over and over despite the consequences. Despite the consequences, this is what determines whether your addiction is a monster or the devil himself.
