Oblivion

When the flock flies off.. And I stay back to savor the view.. It seems stupid initially.. My own home seems lonely.. Just as the sun sets.. It fills the sky with numerous shades.. I am lost in the beauty and loneliness vanishes.. And then it gets dark.. The darkness is so beautiful.. I start enjoying it's presence, loving it.. The pitch dark makes it possible for me to peep into myself.. It's the best i could do.. And lost in myself I spend the Night in introspection.. I never know when sleep takes me over.. As the morning breeze kisses me awake.. I wake to the call of the Sun.. And as the sky starts turning blue again.. I start missing my flock.. Their voices haunt me, and loneliness creeps into my being.. I soar into the sky in an attempt to feel their presence again.. I keep going through the sky in the thirst of their voices.. But nothing comes up.. The sudden activity stresses my wings and pulls me down to the branch.. The thoughts of the darkness, sunset, my flock and their absence take over my mind.. And unknowingly, push me into Oblivion...!!!
