Overwhelmed by dire thirst Oppressed without water Over the next sand dune Offered in a vision Optical illusions Outcrops of tall date palms Oasis; a mirage

lovely Pleiades...reminds me of my days living in the desert in El Paso, Texas. I ran the sand dunes and often thought I saw an oasis on the horizon. Nicely done!

Thanks, Sara. It’s a challenging form. El Paso certainly would seem like a desert. I’ve passed through on my way home to New Orleans.

Lin...many more of us need to get used to all kinds of climate change (and lack of water in some cases) due to our disruption and influence on the planet's natural systems. Nice synopsis!

Yes, about the line lengths, I agree with you.. That is why I have never written in that poetry form myself. I do sometimes write haiku but that is the limit of my abbreviating my poetry. God bless you..

Thanks ever so much, Robert. The Pleiades form limits me to line length. Thanks for your thoughts and the fave.
