O to live full, not long

Live each tick for eternity, Happiness is not to live long, Nor yet to live in certainty. Wants and wishes make vanity And turn joys to a tasteless song, Live each tick for eternity. As butterflies do perfectly-- Gain earth and skies as go along, And yet never chase certainty. Not so exists eternally, E’en pyramids never last long, Relative lives eternity. World’s ruled by relativity, Even love and beauty’s sweet song Seek no solace in certainty. Joys lie in life’s uncertainty, Tune in to your song till last gong, Live each tick for eternity, Yet, never once in certainty. _____________________________ Villanelle |22.08.2024| life, eternity Poet’s note: Read also ‘Life is no length of happiness’.
