O, to be a Hero
    in the good old-fashioned way
  Rescuing damsels in distress
    just in time to save the day

  Where is our shining knight
    astride determined steed
  To free this spend-like-crazy world
    from materialism's need

We need brave fighters to rescue this world from the clutches of commercialism and consumerism just as the chivalrous knights of old who saved damsels from the hands of miscreants.....! Things are slipping out of control

I don't even want to go to the stores, I sent my hubby and son to shop. My husband is valiant, my knight in shining armor :) My daughter and I went a couple of weeks ago and she became upset (kind of embarrassing!), at the music playing already, raising her voice and saying "Enough, enough! It's not even Thanksgiving yet, did they cancel Thanksgiving?!" Lol, eeks!! I was a bit embarrassed! But there were understanding smiles from other shoppers, so that was a comfort!

In our nearest superstore, it’s so packed with Xmas products that you can buy a chocolate Santa but you can’t buy a loo roll. I think someone’s got their priorities in a muddle. Great write, GW. Terry
