O Star of My Dark Voyage From Despair

LXX Lord in my weaker moments keep me sound My faith be anchored safe upon the Rock Whilst storms dash mighty vessels run aground From jaws of vile leviathan that stalk Oft times I feel that this old ship hath sailed Without thy Spirit, Lord my heart doth faint It matters not my tattered soul had failed When to thy might submit take off restraint O Star of my dark voyage from despair! And Captain of my spirit castaway Command my broken heart that needs repair And to depart from dismal shores I pray Nay would my soul set sail from mercy find? Unpardoned mutinies of rebel mind
