O Star of My Dark Voyage From Despair
LXX
Lord in my weaker moments keep me sound
My faith be anchored safe upon the Rock
Whilst storms dash mighty vessels run aground
From jaws of vile leviathan that stalk
Oft times I feel that this old ship hath sailed
Without thy Spirit, Lord my heart doth faint
It matters not my tattered soul had failed
When to thy might submit take off restraint
O Star of my dark voyage from despair!
And Captain of my spirit castaway
Command my broken heart that needs repair
And to depart from dismal shores I pray
Nay would my soul set sail from mercy find?
Unpardoned mutinies of rebel mind
