O Canada
O Canada
By Elton Camp
Oh Canada, what a neighbor you are
With cold and snow fronts so bizarre
If only, at the border, we could build a wall
So keep them out, but it’d have to be too tall
Besides, we’d never want to cause offense
You sent us Michael J. Fox--what a prince!
Alex Trebek brings us Jeopardy! too
Without him, what would we do?
Then, you’ve got a fine old queen we heard
Who beats the heck out of George the Third
We provide strange folks to amuse
Thus, your clunkers we can’t refuse
An odious, teenage idol to irritate
It looks like jail will become his fate
Plus some, who in Canada remain
Give us a chuckle mixed with disdain
We’ve had mayors just as weird as he
But he hangs it out for everyone to see
Oliver and Hardy the duo may not be
But they provide us delightful comedy
Thus, hail to the northern neighbor so vast
We love your people, not your Arctic blast
