Number of Views

I once posted a poem on poetry soup
I checked for feedback a while later
I smiled to find I had one view
It was enough to be a motivator
Every time I checked my views they increased by one
Then my smile faded when I realized I was my own fan
Celebrating my own views
A lone spoon for my poetry soup

I've been here three years, and I still have poems (regularly) with no comments, (and I know it's not their lack of quality) ... it's easy to get discouraged, but the few people who DO take the time to comment, are USUALLY the ones who truly KNOW poetry, and are honestly affected by my work. THAT'S what keeps me coming back - those are the TRUE awards! You are a good writer, so steady-on, my man - I'll be back as well - blessings! ;o)

Thank you. It is totally understandable, I agree with you there is so much great work here. I read poems randomly sometimes and I am always impressed.

Some of us don't get many views or comments on many poems. With such a big community it is hard to read them all... Life often gets in the way... Cute Poem. :) hugs

Thanks. I was thinking of an audio readout option to read out the text in the event our arms tied.

Dont worry about it.. a lot of great poems only get a few views.. if you comment on others, then others will read yours... the problem is there are so many poems..
