Numb

Our breath falling short
I look up to the cloudless, starry sky
The tiles are lit
Glowing white
The city never sleeps
The lights glittering like stars
Our heads were held high
Not wanting to miss a thing
Burning the music into our memory
The rays of rainbow flowing
Zooming in and out
Felt so close yet so distant
The branches were sparkling
In the winds through
The towers
The warmth of the broth
Numbing my fingers
