Numb-Shock!
My head is pounding from within
a beating drum under my skin
and with each beat
tears form puddles at my feet
thoughts crashing down on my fragile brain
and ripping apart its mangled frame
distorted forever, it remains bent
a remnant of the times that were spent
seperating myself to put us together
little did I know that I'd lose you forever
so I sit here fists tightly clenched
wondering what else from me will be wrenched
expecting to lose everything I hold dear
knowing I'll suffer from anxiety and fear
And so my head will pound on
like the beat of a drum
until the pain is gone
and body finally falls numb!
