Listen to poem:
Now
In the blink of an eye
At the speed of a sound
From the tears of a cry
To the joys that abound
We can pass through the present
So much faster than light
We should linger a little
While the moment's in flight
For the crux of my point
Is that time is no friend
As the sand trickles down
So the endless can end
Oh to capture those colours
Oh to smile and be kind
Be the joy giver, healer
While the clock cogs unwind
Be the help to the helpless
Be the friend to the lost
Breath deeply of life
Disregarding the cost
As a price has been paid
For the freedom we share
But each moment still precious
As our lungs fill with air...
And the heart will beat feintly
Unless topped up with love...
So now is that moment.
Is that gift.
From above.
