November Fairy

With the amber dawn, she was born
One bountiful November morn

She grows in skips of lissome luck
Trilling songs of squirrels and ducks

Her charm can please the gilded trees
Sweet lilting call of honeybees

Gifting to her human fairies
Ruby seeds of autumn berries

In her lilac eyes, a sprinkle-
A coy, periwinkle twinkle...

Awesome imagery and beautifully crafted - I love fairy poems - all the poem is terrific but my favorite couplet in the poem is the first one - good luck in the contest Michelle. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Reading this has cheered me up immensely, Michelle! (It's a gray day in Chicago). Right up Caren's alley and such a sweet delight of a write! ~ Woodland Sprite
