November Blues

November sadness saturates my soul feeling empty no-get-up-and-go Then the Sea fills my heart up with smiles watching her ebb and her flow

"November Blues" is a perfect title for this beautiful and expressive poem, Ann. Nature takes with one hand yet gives with the other. Congratulations for your excellent win in Brian's contest.. ~Susan

Thank you so much dear Susan, November is my least favourite month as I really struggle with so few daylight hours, and look forward to 21st December the shortest day and from then on we gradually regain the light. I thank you for your lovely comments my friend. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

Yes the sea is so important to me John as I when I have walked beside her I feel invigorated and calmer and I love the fact that each day is different. The sea and the moon truly lift my spirit to another plane... Thank you dear John. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

also, after January, November is my least favorite month. Such a dreary month, except for thanksgiving time.

from November through to end of January I really do struggle and cannot wait for the lighter evenings which gives me more light in my day. But hey I must try to be more positive... With kindest thoughts Ann xx

I think many people feel like this also, it can be a difficult time, especially when there are certain events that have happened in this month...

Yes and those sad times never really leave us, even after many years, for our loved ones are missed each and every day, but there is some respite that for a while takes those negative thoughts from our minds ~ thank fully. Thank you SO for your kind words of comfort. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

I too find the sea a place that I visit daily and am so lucky to live beside it. It is different each and every time and these very high tides have been spectacular to watch. Hoping you have a peaceful Sunday dear Jan. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

We all have a month, a song, a fragrance, a taste or something else that triggers strong feelings. This poem reminds us of the ebb and flow of grief. Great job.
