Nothingness

My path of life was full of thorns,
she covered it with her velvet smile,

	When I silently embraced loneliness,
she walked beside me hand in hand,

When my shadow questioned my worth,
she answered and calmed the unrest,

I burned my dreams, she saved the ashes,
I cursed my fate, she believed in God,

When hope had left, she gave faith,
O, mother you saved my life, from nothingness.
