Ralph Taylor Poet Rhyme

Nothing

This is a poem about nothing
which is the hardest one I've done
it's impossible to get my point across
because there really isn't one.

I don't know what I'm trying to say
that much I will admit
this whole idea's kinda dumb
so I probably should just quit.

Before I do I must explain
or at least I'm gonna try
Nothing is just nothing
believe me it's no lie.

I don't know why you're reading this
to write it was a crime
it has very little substance
but at least some words do rhyme.

I'm sorry if you've read this far
if you have you will agree
that even though I wrote it
it makes no sense to me.

Constance La France February 19, 2011 at 6:09 AM Sometimes, rarely however, I sit there in front of my computer, with nothing coming to me for a poem, I try to clear my mind, and let a word come, and it sometimes begins with that one word and grows into something, I did not even know was there, and I do not think this poem was a waste to read, it expressed the frustration of being blocked as a poet and the rhyming is good~~
