Not Write In the Head
The words that are inside my head
Are written out different to what head led.
The thoughts and images are sometimes clear
Then fuzzy and foggy as if soaked in beer.
My head has lots of things to say
But hand and pen does not obey.
The hand refuses what head wants used
Which leaves me feeling very confused.
The vice and versa or versa and vice
Makes me think double twice.
The muddle and missing go hand in hand
Words thinly stretched like elastic bands.
What I write may not make much sense
Or roll out beats like a military band set.
As my hand and head get in a huff
A word battle is fought called wordy-cuffs.
Maybe it is stress or over thinking
Or too much wine I could have been drinking.
"Or maybe I'm not write in the head"
Claims a voice I can hear from inside my head.
