Not Fair

Not fair all I can have are memories that hurt All I can have are empty places where I don't want to go alone Not fair our time it was not enough I loved you more than anything into this world Not fair God did not let our purpose be complete But I believe our love will still shine bright In the next life when we will meet.

Gabriela - I often find myself contemplating the after life and what it holds in store for us - I once wrote on the subject of reality and how what we perceive something to be is what it is to us - The "Real" is totally bound to our perception of what we believe it to be - I'll pray that next life holds all you hope it will - God Bless, MJ

Gabriela, You truly struck a chord with this poem. It is so sad that we have to wait until the "next life" to see our loved ones. I miss my late husband and father so much and, yes, the memories hurt. But I hope they can also help us heal. Bless you, Carolyn
