I used to think everyone was like me,
A mind in a myriad pieces.
Some close together
Others so far apart.
I used to think everyone was like me.
A mind as a colourful puzzle,
Some parts easily found,
Others completely lost.
I used to think that my heart kept together
What my mind shred apart.
Some centripetal force
Kept it glued in place.
But I know better now, centrifugal power
Forced my fragile mind to splinter,
Glue won't keep it centred,
But my heart will.
Everything you can imagine is real.
Don't dismiss me for being me.
My core is warm and loving,
And welcoming you in.
